The Health and Social Care is available at levels 1, 2, 3 and 4, are aimed at individuals working with either older people or children and young people in essential care environments, day care settings or palliative care. They are also suitable for those working with people with learning disabilities or challenging behaviour, as well as those in more supervisory positions with greater autonomy and authority. Progression routes and career opportunities for individuals employed in this sector include Registered Manager roles and nursing.
Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but learners must be at least 16 years of age.

Qualification/Progression:
This qualification provides pathways into the sector for school leavers or anyone considering a career in health and or social care.
The level 1 certificate in introduction to health, social care and children's and young people's setting allows for progression to the level 2 certificate in preparing to work in adults social care and or the level 2 diploma in health and social care. The knowledge gained will provide valuable learning should a learner choose to progress onto an Apprenticeship in a related area.

Up to 10 weeks, but we'll agree a target end date to suit you.
How much will it cost?
Thanks to Government funding, your courses and qualification may be subsidised or free depending on your circumstances (in employment or unemployed). Persons aged 16-18 are fully funded, 19+ are co-funded or fully funded depending on individual circumstances.
